Anyone who knows me knows that I love Mexican food. The other night my wife and I decided that burrito’s sounded pretty good for dinner. One of our favorite places to go is Taqueria De Amigos in San Mateo, CA in the Marina Shopping Center. My wife chose the Regular Burrito with grilled chicken and that’s usually enough for her appetite. Me however, well I need more so I went with the Jumbo Burrito! I usually go for the Pollo (chicken) or the Carne Asada (beef) but this time I decided to go for the Al Pastor (pork).
The flour tortilla is stuffed with lots of meat, refried beans, spanish rice, cheese, salsa, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream. It is full of flavor and everything is freshly prepared when you order it. Everything I have ordered from them has always been delicious and I have never had a bad experience. All the food is fresh and the restaurant is clean and well lit.
Just one warning, lines can form quickly and often reach the door, however they usually don’t last too long.
