Magic Cookie Bars

So recently I took a vacation with my wife to visit her family and while there we had a lot of great food.  While there my wife’s mother made some terrific cookie bars.  Every time she makes them I simply cannot get enough of them and asked her if she would share the recipe with me.  Thankfully she said yes.  So I present to you, Magic Cookie Bars!

1 ½ cups Honey Maid Graham Cracker Crumbs

1 stick of butter (not margarine)

1 cup of chocolate chips

1 cup of walnuts

Flaked coconut

1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk

Melt butter in a 13×9 pan while oven is heating up.  I use a glass pan at 325 degrees or you can use a regular pan at 350 degrees.  When the butter is melted, add the graham cracker crumbs and mix thoroughly.  When mixed, spread evenly and pat down to for a crust on the bottom.

Sprinkle chocolate chips and walnuts evenly over the crust, then top with coconut.  Evenly pour the milk over the entire pan.  Then bake for 25 – 30 minutes for glass or 20 – 25 minutes for a regular pan until golden brown.  Once completely cooled, cut into squares and enjoy!
